Pusit just launched a new feature...you can now see what other ads the same poster has submitted.

This will go along with our flagging system in identifying spammers and bad posters. The flagging system is currently in test mode and will not be launched until late April.

We have been receiving many emails from pusit users of spammers and bad posters. Please keep this coming and thank you.

BUT, what would help us even more is if you can share your ideas about developing a "self-policing" mechanism that rewards good posters and punishes bad posters.

Please send us your ideas and thoughts.

To Pusit users: to cut down on spamming and bad posters, we will be implementing the automatic linking to poster's Friendster pic + profile.

This will be launched within 48 hours.

Update: We will not launch this until this Thursday, at the earliest, due to some server issues.

Discussion forums: a free for all forum for the community to discuss anything.
My Tentacles: a place to view post statistics (how many ad views, etc.), edit/delete/re-post your ads and a few other things.

Was wondering what you, the user, would want launched first.

Why the name pusit?

I will finally answer this question...

Pusit is one of my favorite dishes and since I love to eat and the domain name was available, why not? Secondly, it's very Filipino and I wanted to have a very Filipino domain. Lastly, since a squid has 10 or more tentacles, it connotes "reaching out" to the community.

All in all, a cool and unforgetable name.

I'm a Python newbie and I'm now reading books on this cool and useful language.

One book I have found useful is the aptly named "Dive Into Python" by Mark Pilgrim. Highly recommended.

A Blackberry for all?

I got my Treo 600 a couple of months or so ago and have been trying to find an "always-on", secure wireless email. Problem is there really isn't a good solution for the Treo unless you want to spend loads of money on Good Technology which requires M$ Exchange and their server software solution.

I'm a startup so I don't want have the mulah to spend on such a solution. But I agree with Steve Brotman's post that wireless email is one of those "Gee, what a #$@@# time-saver!"

Finally, I got around to doing an online service in my homeland :)
